Eid ul Adha Message

On behalf of The Council of European Jamaats, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a joyful and pleasant Eid al Adha.  Let us pray for the safety of those who have gone for Hajj and for them to be able to connect to Allah (swt).  InshaAllah we urge them to pray for the spiritual upliftment of our community while at the house of Allah (swt).

This Eid is an opportunity to reflect on the actions of Prophet Ebrahim (a.s) and on the sacrifices we are making for the sake of Allah (swt).  I would like to appreciate and thank all of you who are making small and large sacrifices with their time, money and intellectual capital for the community at different levels.  May Allah reward you in this world and the hereafter.  We pray that the Almighty enhances our ability to make greater sacrifices.

As Imam Hussain (a.s) reminds us in Dua e Arafah that this is the time to thank Allah for his countless blessings he has given us and to seek his forgiveness.

Let us conclude by praying for greater understanding and respect within the diverse communities to create peaceful co-existence in this world.

With Salaams and Duas

Dr Akber Mohamedali

President
