My dear community members in Europe and across the world,
May the peace and blessings of Allah (SWT) be with you all.
I would like to begin by wishing all of you Eid al-Adha Mubarak. On this elevated day, I pray Allah (SWT) bestows his blessings and favour upon you and your family.
The completion of Hajj marks a deep moment of self-reflection and introspection. It is on this day that we reflect on the sincerity of Prophet Ibrahim (as) on his devotion to his Creator. We remind ourselves of the compassion and mercy shown by our beloved Prophet (saw), on those that had caused hardship to him and his family, upon his return to Makkah after years of exile. Nor can we forget the departure of Imam Hussain (as) from Hejaz in his fateful mission of saving the sanctity of the religion.
Serving our Creator, showing mercy and compassion to humanity, and self-sacrifice in the way of Allah (SWT) must remain the essential traits of our character for both our personal and communal growth.
I am pleased that our Community is making great strides forward, where our institutions remain committed to facilitating and assisting our progress. At The Council of European Jamaats, we have embarked on various events throughout the year. Here are some of the highlights we have managed to achieve.
- Mental Health Courses
- Youth Development Program
- CoEJ University Study day
- Tarbiyyah Teachers Training with WF-MCE
- Match making facilitation with NASIMCO
- Promoting Khoja Heritage and language.
CoEJ continues to seek support from our members as we build capacity to serve our constituents in our Jamaats
I take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your dedication of time and volunteerism within your Jamaats and, I pray that the Almighty gives tawfeeqat to all to visit His Holy House to perform Hajj and Umrah.
Salaams and Duas
