This awareness and skills training course explores ways on being mindful of your own wellbeing and will teach you how to spot the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues in order to provide initial support and help on a first aid basis. This session will equip you with skills to guide a person towards appropriate professional help and will also help you develop an understanding of how you can create and maintain a healthier community.
This course is also recognised as CPD (Continued Professional Development).
The aim of the Program is to:
- To promote wellbeing in the community.
- To support in addressing Mental health and to promote joint working by sharing best practices and ideas to promote wellbeing
- To share experiences and learning to develop awareness of the importance of wellbeing
At the end of this one day program, participants will have covered:
- What Is Mental Health
- Relationship of Mental Health Conditions to Stress
- Common Mental Health Conditions – Depression and Anxiety

This session will be delivered by Maria Pattinson, a quality assured instructor, accredited by Mental Health First Aid.
