The CoEJ Youth Desk aims to create a dynamic and interdependent circuit of thriving youth groups, willing to serve for the common good of the Khoja community at large. The Youth Desk (YD) will endeavour to facilitate in the communication and growth of individual youth bodies, helping to stimulate a structure whereby different youth bodies can learn from each other's skills, practices and experiences. The YD will also aim to provide courses for the youth that will equip them with the necessary tools to enhance their potential in coping with modern day challenges. An example can be seem with the launch of the Leadership Developments course, aimed at developing the capacity of the youth and young professionals within the community. It is felt that a continuation of such programmes will definitely inspire and promote future leaders from within our community.

For the 1st time at Wessex Jamaat, in holiest of the nights throughout the year, youths and adults gathered at the centre to spend 2 days and 2 nights for Ibadat and worship - an imitation of the commonly practiced and highly emphasised Sunnah of Rasulallah ( s.a.w.), the I'tikaaf.
This Laylatul Qadr had an impact on many as the I'tikaf program brought a new image, a new means and an entirely new practice of Worship and Devotion to Allah.

On Saturday 8th September, approximately 35 professionals from different career paths all gathered in Birmingham for a career’s fair. The aim of this event was to allow students to talk to different individuals from various occupations so that they were able to make a well informed choice on what career path they would like to pursue.
The day was informally structured and students were given the opportunity to walk around the halls to speak to the professionals. Furthermore, with career advice available from a qualified careers advisor, many were given the opportunity to establish what career fields would best suit their interests. |
