Are you an aspiring poet?
The Youth Desk are inviting all aspiring poets to put pen to paper and write new English nawha / marshiya. These eulogies in commemoration for Imam Hussain (a.s.) will be published and distributed in centres throughout the UK in time for Chehlum; where your work could be recited in public.
We are inviting entries from all ages and sections of the community; for either nawhas or marshiya. We will not publish copied material, material that has been directly translated from another language or that has only been slightly changed.
The deadline for submissions is the 8th February 2008 / 30th Muharram 1429.
We anticipate entries in the region of 100 – 200 words; and we aim to create a small booklet that can be used this Chehlum and for years to come. The booklet will also be available online for download and usage all over the world.
