CoEJ Art & Literature Competition 2007 |

The Council of European Jamaats is holding a drawing / writing competition open to all members of the community. The theme of this competition is to do with the ending of the Islamic and calendar year.
The competition involves drawing a cartoon (for 5 - 12 year olds) or writing a short text on a major event that has taken place this year (age 12+), and a £50 prize will be awarded to the winner of each age category.
The Closing Date is: 26th December 2007.
Ages 5 - 12: Draw a cartoon, showing the major religious events that take place in the Islamic year. Ages 12+: Choosing a major event that has taken place over this calendar year, explain why the event you have chosen will have the greatest impact on the future. (Less than 300 words). Competition Rules:
- All entries must be received by CoEJ before the deadline. Entries recieved after the deadline will not be eligible for a prize but may still be published.
- All entries must be your own work. Please provide references for any quotations / images that you have used.
- CoEJ will assemble a panel of judges and their decision is final.
- We reserve the right to publish entries and we will credit you for your work.
