Following months of preparation and coordination,The Council of European Jamaats (CoEJ) in partnership with The World Federation, The Africa Federation (AFED), the North American Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim Communities Organization (NASIMCO), and Dubai Jamaat is pleased to announce the launch of the renowned Madinah al-Ilm and Bab al-Ilm Short Summer Courses in Iran.
The three week courses in Iran are life changing and have been described by many as one that they will never forget.

Mentor applications
Mentor applications are now also open to those over the age of 18. Successful applicants must be available to attend the course and mentor training from approximately 10th July to 5 August 2012.

Mentors are encouraged to pay a minimum of their flight and visa costs to Iran. If however, they are unable to financially afford to do so, they should contact The World Federation in confidence at madinahbabcourse@world-federation.org

Please note that your application will not be considered, unless we receive the following:
• A scanned copy in jpeg of your passport photo page. Your passport must be valid for at least the next six months (to be uploaded onto the application form).
• A copy of a recent passport sized photograph in jpeg. Girls must be in full hijaab, otherwise the visa application will be automatically rejected (to be uploaded onto the application form).
• A deposit for your place on the course. This must be a minimum of £50. Deposits will only be refunded for those who are unsuccessful in their application and in no other circumstances.
Deadline for Applications
The subsidised costs are heavily subsidised and there are limited places available. The deadline for applications is 6 April 2012.
Please note that for those applying as a participant, if we are happy that an applicant has met the selection criteria, places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Obtaining visas to Iran
We understand that it is difficult for some to now obtain Iranian visas. However, using our contacts in both Qum and London, we do not envisage this to be a problem at this stage.
However, as always, the courses will only go ahead if visas can be obtained for participants and mentors.
