The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) is a Muslim umbrella body of over 500 mosques, associations and charities. It is an independent and democratic organisation, with a stated ethos of being inclusive and non-sectarian, representing Britain's diverse Muslim communities for the common good. It is a non-governmental voluntary organisation. It is managed by volunteers who are elected by its affiliates for a two year term in accordance with its Constitution. Its work is funded
entirely through public donations, affiliation fees and project grants.
