Profile - Salim Abdulrasul Govani |
|
Salim was born in Mbale, Uganda, in 1960. His parents Marhum Abdulrasul and Marhuma Gulbanu were both born in Uganda. Salim migrated to Sweden 1972 in the exodus from Uganda. He is married and they have two sons, both married. He is now settled in Marsta, Sweden.
Salim finished his education in the late 1970s, and then specialised by studying Marketing at the university for a year. He is currently working as a Business Analyst.
He has always taken a keen interest in Community work ever since formation of the Jamaat in Trollhättan Sweden in 1976. He has served the Community in various capacities, at all levels of the Executive, in Trollhättan and for the last seven years in Märsta -Stockholm. Currently, he is the Vice President of the Jamaat. He has always taken keen interest in the spiritual developments of the youths. The Sweden Camp, since inception, has been made possible only because of the unstinting support and scarifies not only from Salim, but his wife and two sons. All the preparations and arrangements on the Swedish side are taken care of by Salim and his family, and all put themselves at the disposal of the camp throughout its entire duration in Sweden. It is no exaggeration to note that had this support not been available, it would not have been possible to hold this annual camp in Sweden. CoEJ Education is eternally grateful for his and his family’s exemplary service. |
