 Mohamed Kassam Mohamed Iqbal was born in 1982, in Harrold Wood, Essex, UK. His parents, originally came from Kampala and Mombasa respectively and initially settled in Essex in the early 1980’s. In 1988, the family moved to London. He comes from a family of two sisters and one brother, him being first in line.
He completed his primary and secondary education in Harrow, where he obtained 10 GCSEs, achieving 7A*’s and 3A’s. He subsequently studied for his A-Levels at Watford Grammar and completed them in 2000 with 3As in Chemistry, Maths and Physics. He graduated from Kings College London in 2005 with a first honours degree in Dental Surgery and is currently working in a dental practice in Welwyn Garden City.
He has been a mentor at the CoEJ GCSE revsion course in Peterborough in 2004 and has also been a mentor at the CoEJ Sweden Camp of 2004. He has previously taught Quran at Hujjat Sunday Madressa and is currently part of the team that teaches Islamic Studies GCSE on Sundays at Stanmore. He is an avid sports person and loves to keep fit. His main sports are cricket, Football, table tennis, tennis and badminton. He currently plays for Stanmore Jafferys Cricket club and has participated in numerous local, national and international sports festivals representing Stanmore in cricket, badminton and table tennis. |
