Profile - Mahmood Ahmed Dhala E-mail
Originally from Mombasa, Mahmood son of Ahmed and Sakina Dhala hails from a family whose roots come from Zanzibar and Mombasa. Mahmood is presently living in London for the last fifteen years and is married.

He graduated with a BEng (Hons) in Electronic & Electrical Engineering at South Bank University in 1996, and his first graduate job was with the IT department with major national airline. He then moved into the world of Telecommunications and Datacomms and is currently working for a private IT consultant for the past nine years. He has moved within various teams having worked in several IT areas, and he currently heads up a team of Network Provisioning analysts.

He has served the Mombasa Jamaat in many ways including being a member of the Ithna-asheri Young Men’s Union, setting up the very first Audio Visual Library, and serving as a member of the Volunteers Corp. In the UK, he has also served as the Youth representative of the London Jamaat Executive Committee. He was a Madressa teacher at Stanmore between 1992 and 1995. He is currently managing the World Federation - Careers, Education and Training Advisory Board. He aspires to assist Students of our community world-wide through the Student Support Network (SSN) which he founded in 2002 as well as various other CETAB projects.

He served as the Chairman of the CoEJ Education Committee between 2003-2005, when he restarted the Iran Summer Camp and introduced the CoEJ UCAS Seminar during his tenure as Chair. He is presently an advisor to the present team as well as a one of the UK Administrators for the Sweden Camp over the last three years.

He is looking forward to the challenges of his new role as the Assistant Secretary General for the Education portfolio under the World Federation. His role will include working closely with various education boards across regional bodies. He envisages the improvement of the standard of Education across all schools in our community worldwide.
