Ali Asger Rajani was born in Songea, Tanzania, in 1988. He is the fourth in the family of two sisters and three brothers. He migrated with his parents, Naushad-Ali and Munira Rajani, to the UK in 1995 and is now settled in Leicester.
Ali Asger studied at Buswell Lodge for his primary education and at Lancaster School for his secondary education. At Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College, Ali Asger studied for his A-levels in English Language, History (for which he also excelled in the Advanced Extension Award) and Law. Currently, he is studying LLB Law at The University of Leicester.
His community services began with volunteering and organising events within the Behlool Society, Leicester. He has been involved with WF charity projects such as the ‘Ali Asghar (a.s) Water Appeal’ and the yearly ‘Ramadhan Relief’. He played an integral role in the Behlool Society’s ‘Imam Ali - Blood Donation Appeal’, and he is presently involved in organising its Summer Camp for boys. He is also a Madressa teacher. He has been to the Sweden Camp as an A-Level camper in 2005. He is now coming as a mentor. Being an active youth, he enjoys playing his sports; whether this is football, tennis or badminton. He participated in the CoEJ sports tournaments. His enjoys reading, debating and mooting; for which he reached the semi-finals of the University of Leicester Debating and Mooting competitions. He has also grown an interest in motorbikes and has completed its Compulsory Basic Training |
