Profile - Shahid Merali E-mail
Shahid Merali was born in 1983 and lives in Birmingham. He has recently graduated as a medical Doctor from the University of Birmingham.

He attended the Sweden Camps in 2002 and 2003 as a mentor. This year he will be attending as an External Speaker for a week-end, to teach on Applied Medical Ethics.


He is teacher in Birmingham's Muhammadi Madressa for four years, teaching two secondary classes in Fiqh and Akhlaq. He was Co-editor of the Jamaat's Newsletter, Al-Muntazar (www.almuntazar.org), for the past 5 years, and has served two terms as the Chairman of Birmingham's Abbasi Youth Committee. He is also involved in a few smaller-scale projects.

Shahid tries to keep his social life as diverse and active as possible, whether playing football (or any other sport!), reading a book, socialising with friends, climbing a mountain, going scuba diving, or going for a bike-ride, he tries to balance his working life with interesting and fulfilling hobbies.
