Salim was born in Mbale, Uganda, in 1960. His parents Marhum Abdulrasul and Marhuma Gulbanu were both born in Uganda. Salim migrated to Sweden 1972 in the exodus from Uganda. He is married to Nishila and they have two sons, Hassanain and Sibtain, both married.
Salim has always taken interest keen in Community work ever since formation of the Jamaat in Trollhättan Sweden in 1976. He has served the Community in various capacities, at all levels of the Executive, in Trollhättan and for the last six years in Märsta -Stockholm. The Sweden Camp, since inception, has been made possible only because of the unstinting support and scarifies not only from Salim, but his two sons. All the preparations and arrangements on the Swedish side are taken care of by Salim and his sons, and all put themselves at the disposal of the camp throughout its entire duration in Sweden. It is no exaggeration to note that had this support not been available, it would not have been possible to hold this annual camp in Sweden. CoEJ Education is eternally grateful for his and his sons’ exemplary service. |
