Sajjad Jaffer was born in Portsmouth, UK, in 1998. He comes from a family of four. An older sister who married, an older brother who was a Sweden Camp Mentor in 2003, and a younger brother.
He completed both his GCSEs and A levels at Portsmouth Grammar School and his Islamic Studies at Wessex Madressa. He has just finished his A levels (2006) and is intending on going to university at Imperial College to study Engineering, Inshallah. He has always been keen on sports. He grew up playing table tennis and football and more recently adopted a liking to basketball and watersports. He won many table tennis competitions, captained the school basketball team and won tournament as an indoor football keeper. He has received the Wessex Jamaat Youth Award in 2004 for his exemplary work and character. He has been on two previous Sweden camps, once as a junior and then as senior camper. |
