Hasnain Panjwani was born in 1985 in Chelmsford, Essex, UK and currently lives there. He comes from a family of three – one younger sister and one younger brother. His father, Mohammed, was born in Daressalam, Africa and moved to the UK in 1972, and his mother was born in Mumbai, India.
His secondary schooling was at Southend High School for Boys, where he obtained passes in 11 GCSE subjects. At A-Levels, he took Physics, Maths, Computing, Economics and General Studies, which he completed in 2003 with excellent grades. In 2003, he started a four year degree course in Physics and Space Research at the University of Birmingham, and intends to pursue a career in Space research and technology. He regularly recites duas and ziyarat and has also given lectures at his local Jamaat. He is currently very active in the Birmingham Jamaat and the Madressa, where he helps in the running of the Secondary Section. His association with CoEJ is extensive: along with participating in many of the camps/courses he has been a Sweden Mentor in 2003 & 2005 and compiled/produced the Sweden 2003 magazine. Currently he is involved in the administration of most CoEJ Education projects and is part of the overall admin team for this years Sweden Camp. On the hobbies side, he is an avid cricket player, and plays regular matches for a local club. Some of the other sports that he enjoys playing and does so regularly are golf, badminton and tennis.
