Aliraza was born in Dubai, UAE in 1984, the second of three children. Both of Aliraza's parents were born in East Africa, his father from Mombasa, Kenya and his mother from Lindi, Tanzania.
He completed his A Levels in 2003, after which he attended the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada, where he studied Environmental Engineering for two years. He is now based in Birmingham, UK, where he is currently one year into achieving a BSc in Accounting and Finance. Having taught for three years at Madressa al Muhammadiya in Dubai, Aliraza continues his teaching at Muhammadi Madressa in Birmingham. He was the captain of his school cricket, which won the inter-school division, and also track & field teams.
At the communal level, Aliraza spends a lot of his time doing voluntary work, helping local communities in running multi-faith awareness programs and related charity events.
He has a fond love for the outdoors, trekking and kayaking. He plays squash, and continues developing a voice to maintain his regular Qurán and dua recitations |
