It's been another long day, jam-packed with action and uniqueness, fun and jokes, learning and lessons, bonding and connecting. The final full day of camp has provided a tremendous ending to an equally superb camp: The match between senior's and mentors, in which we we're hammered 6-3 by the campers (note that only one oal was scored by a camper LOL), and the admin v campers debate, where the motion of the camp being a waste of time was rejected hands down by campers and official's alike.
Planet time today was quite emotional for me, it started off with briefing my kids on tomorrow's clean-up, ceremony and travel plans, after which i praised then their dues, on how wonderful a job they had done in achieving a more thorough understanding of themselves as individuals, as team members, in realising their strengths and developing skills: communication, sports, recitations and otherwise. Its also been an enjoyable experience interacting with campers from other planets. I met a camper from dubai, whose mother had taught me Qurán years ago when I lived there, and another with whom I had gone for umra by car from dubai. Other campers were as friendly and got comfortable and included in interaction, and I leave this camp in a few hours' time having built bridges that extend internationally and to other cities withing the uk. Admin and other mentors were no different, working with them gave me an insight into my own self, and their acceptance of my short-comings is much appreciated. We leave after tomorrow's closing ceremony, which my planet has been given the responsibility of co-ordinating. They've asked for me to finish planet time and leave them to their work, and that gives me immense pleasure to hear, as it shows me how confident they are in doing the job themselves, and pulling off a stellar presentation tomorrow. With heavy heart, I make my final entry, and with a smiling face, I look at Sweden 2006 as an experience I wouldn't trade for anything. Aliraza bha, Jupiter.
