I’m writing this blog, right smack in the middle of the Mentor Training Weekend. This weekend was designed to train the mentors, encourage them to bond as a team, increase their awareness of what is expected of them, and what they can expect at the Camp!
For the first time, in the history of the Mentor Training Weekends, CoEJ has utilised the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a questionnaire which explores the Mentor’s personality preferences. Yasin Rahim was invited by CoEJ Education Team, having undergone training as an MBTI instructor to analyse the questionnaires and then to give detailed, individual feedback to the mentors. Yasin Uncle will fly out with the mentors and give this feedback to them at the Camp Site in Sweden. The feedback will be delivered a day before the campers arrive. The Admin feel that the MBTI test and thorough feedback will be beneficial to the Mentors, as it will allow them understand themselves better and at the same time beneficial for the Camp as a whole.
