This year, for the first time, the CoEJ Education team have introduced a truly novel idea: the Admin ‘blog.’ This ‘blog’ will give a detailed insight to the outside world, of exactly what the Administrators of the Sweden Boys Camp do in the planning stages of the camp. Moreover, the blog will also indicate to the campers and their families the priority that the Camp gives to certain concepts and themes.

Mentor Training Weekend Day 2 E-mail
Friday, 07 July 2006

The day started in the early hours where mentors were just chilling, talking and getting to know one another. It was a sort of bonding time in which allowed the atmosphere to calm as well as the nerves of the mentors.

An 8am wake up call with Ali standing over me was not what I wanted but It was what I got. The solution was to roll over and lie in for another hour.

Mentor Training Weekend Day 1 Admin E-mail
Friday, 07 July 2006

Yesterday marked the end of the first day of the 2006 mentor training weekend. As Shane-E-Abbas explained the weekend is being based around a day in the camp. Therefore when the mentors arrived at IEB they were very warmly greeted by their “weekend mentors” and given their very own Sweden 2006 goody bag just as they would be doing to the campers soon on the first day of the camp in Sweden!

16 + Cancelation E-mail
Monday, 19 June 2006

I’ve got some pretty bad news for this blog entry: the 16+ section of the Camp is not going to go ahead after all. The principal reason behind this is because the Admin only received a handful of applicants, and so it was not practicable to have the 16+ Camp to go ahead. The decision was not actually based on financial feasibility but upon the fact that with such few campers in the 16+ section, the quality, enjoyment and progression of each 16+ camper would be unduly compromised. The rest of the Camp will continue in earnest and will not be affected in anyway by this cancellation.
