 This year, for the first time, the CoEJ Education team have introduced a truly novel idea: the Admin ‘blog.’ This ‘blog’ will give a detailed insight to the outside world, of exactly what the Administrators of the Sweden Boys Camp do in the planning stages of the camp. Moreover, the blog will also indicate to the campers and their families the priority that the Camp gives to certain concepts and themes.

At the time of writing, we are 24 hours away from the mentors meeting up for the Sweden Summer camp 2006. They, along with camp manager (Hasnain Panjwani), Mentor Trainer (Fazleabbas Kanji), MBTI instructor (Yasin Rahim), resident Alim (Sheikh Shahnawaz) and our 2 wonderful chefs will fly to Sweden a day early to complete their training, and prepare for our arrival. |

The preparations for the camp are now in full swing with my inbox filling up faster than I can read or reply to emails. The stationeries are ordered, flights and coaches booked. Camper’s teaching notes are being sent to the printers and so are the certificates! The administration team is now in its final leg of preparation and so are our liaisons in Sweden awaiting the mentors’ arrival on Saturday morning and the camper’s arrival on Sunday morning. Campers, don’t forget, checking desk at Stanmore opens at 10.30 p.m. on Saturday 22 July 2006. |

One could feel the anxiety and apprehension in the room as the participants embarked upon another round of Mentor Training Weekend. With a few Ice breakers and the odd sarcastic remark from Munir Uncle, the nerves were soon settled.
