Alhumdillah the Camp Timetable has been finalised and sent to our partners in Sweden. This has been the culmination of work undertaken by the camp managers ever since the end of the last camp. What worked well there has made its way onto this years timetable, what didn't has been changed. The timetable, built on eight years of summer camp experiences, is a packed schedule of activities, interspersed with frequent meal and snack breaks to keep your energy levels high, as well as the odd day trip out to the city or theme park .
Most mornings of the camp, you will be involved in "classes " - small group discussions about a variety of relevant topics, both Islamic and secular. We are honoured to have Sheikh Shahnawaz Mahdavi joining Dr. Mahmood Datoo and Arif Hasham in the lecturing team. Your mentors will also spend some time with you during these sessions, as well as some exciting guest speakers the managers are lining up for you. The afternoons are mainly activities based after some Quran recitation/tafseer, and the evenings are focussing on one of the main areas of the camp: "Personal Development ". Dr. Datoo's famous PDT sessions will, I'm sure, keep you minds active and provide endless stories to tell! That's all I have time for: my inbox is filling up as I type this, and I have a presentation for university to prepare. Thank Allah for time-management : Sweden Style! Look forward to seeing you all next month, With salaams, Ali Panju PS The admin team would like to congratulate our former Mukhi, Fazle Abbas, who will be getting married this evening (Friday) Inshallah. Fazle, your efforts in the past few camps have been invaluable; may Allah reward you for your efforts, and continue to shower you with his blessings. |
