EXCITEMENT, EXHILLARATION, ENTHUSIASUM!

Nothing was going to stop the girls from bouncing straight out of bed today!

Today we were going to go to Stockholm to do some shopping and spend the money our parents specifically said not to spend on clothes!!!

The atmosphere was buzzing on the coach. All the campers were engrossed in conversation about what they were going to buy. After a long journey we reached Stockholm and all the girls still full of energy poured off the coach rearing to get going. Our first trip was to a park where we all had lunch and had some fun on the swings, trains and the spider web which Aliyah Ladak and I ventured to the top and got all the other campers going.

After lunch we all went to pray namaaz. As we entered this magnificent mosque we could hear the Adhan echoing beautifully through out. Having prayed we started our shopping trip heading towards the mall. To get to the mall we had to walk down a long street full of small shops which got the campers excited as they sold different types of jewelry, ornaments, clothes etc. However, the only thing on these girls’ minds now was ICE CREAM. Walking past so many ice cream parlors and being tempted by the sweet flavours made their mouths water. Reaching the mall the girls started to scatter in all directions as they saw shops they were familiar with. Pouring in and out of shops as there wasn’t much time the shopping bags started to increase.

However, the girls enjoyed the ice creams so much on the way to the shopping mall that they saved room for second helpings before heading back to the coach. Back at the campsite all the girls had worked up such an appetite they couldn’t wait for dinner. They all enjoyed a dinner of jacket potato, beans and cheese. Fuelled up they were now all excited about the debate that was going to take place at PDT.

The debate was ‘This house believes that T.V. is a waste of time’. There were 3 campers arguing for this debate and 3 campers arguing against from each planet. After a good half hour of heated discussion the campers arguing against were victorious and the campers supporting filled the room with a large SALAWAAT!

After a long, tiring day all the campers retired to bed. 8 days have now flown past and from my eyes the love within the camp seems to be growing as the days go past and as I write this diary it has hit me how much I’m going to miss my sisters and the strong relationships I have formed with them. I’m also going to miss the energy, enthusiasm, smiles, love and positive vibes that the campers brought into this camp and my life. These girls have shown me a new light and inshallah I hope to implement it through out my future!
