Day 10 - Campers Diary - Mars |
|
Today we had a wonderful lesson by Saara, our photographer. It was about how to apply lessons from the Quran into our lives, and we learnt so much!
In the afternoon we had a treasure hunt. In our planets, we had to search for clues which were hidden around the site, like on a tree or at the back of the cabin. We all began to run around, hoping to find the clue before the other planets. But it was too confusing and we struggled, so along with Mercury, we sat by the sea instead, admiring the breath taking view. This meant that Venus won the hunt as they were the only group who found all the clues.
In the evening we had an intense debate about whether men and women are equal or not. I was part of the opposition panel. After a gruelling half and hour, we counted up the final vote…the opposition, who argued that men and women are not equal, won!
After praying jama’ salaa and reciting dua Kumayl, we tucked into scrumptious desert- Danish pastry and Vanilla ice cream. To make things even better, we had a camp fire! We all sat huddled together with out desert and enjoyed the warmth and lively atmosphere.
After the camp fire, my planet hosted a pyjama party. It was lovely to spend our last night with all the new friends we have made. The whole night was filled with fun. We were all sad that we would be leaving the next day so we tried to make the night as best as possible. I can’t believe how fast the 10 days have flown by. We will miss Sweden!
