Husain was born in London in 1990, the second in a family of three sons. He is the grandson of Mullah Fidahusein Khaki. His father, Haiderali, was born in Tanzania and came to the UK in 1978. His mother, Fazala, was born in Pakistan and arrived in the UK in 1985.

After completing his primary schooling in Edgware, Husain moved to Mill Hill County High School where he achieved excellent grades in twelve GCSE subjects. He is now in his first year of the A-Levels at Watford Grammar School - studying Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics.
Husain is an active member of the community at Stanmore. In 2004, he was appointed Mukhi of the English Listening Centre (ELC) and served for three years. In 2007, he became the ELC Coordinator.  After graduating from Hujjat Saturday Workshop in  2005, he became a teacher of Fiqh and Qur’an there. He has been involved in organising and chairing seminars at the Islamic Centre whilst also delivering majalis to the younger members of the community. In addition, Husain is an accomplished reciter of Quran and Duas. He is a qualified First Aider and is a member of the Gifted and Talented Association.

He returns to the Sweden Camp primarily in the role of a Media Coordinator, after attending as a junior camper in 2001.

In sports, he has represented Stanmore in Badminton and Tennis at the annual CoEJ Sports event. He has a zeal for technology, and is practised in several software packages. He also takes an interest in understanding and memorising parts of the Holy Quran and Mafatih-ul-Jinaan.
