Lessons at the camp consist of classroom-based formal lessons delivered either by a member of Admin, a mentor or a specific teacher; but will also include that delivered in informal settings: from meal times to outdoor activities.

Formal lessons are conducted in three classes determined by the age of the campers. This year the camp will benefit from having three full-time teachers: Dr Mahmood Datoo (UK), Ali Akber Hussein (UK). FazleAbbas Kanji (UK). Dr Akil Nurmohammed will also join the camp on a more part-time basis to cover medically based topics, e.g. drugs and smoking.

In addition, the mentors are encouraged to deliver at least once lecture, primarily because it helps to develop them. The subjects chosen are from a pre-determined, agreed list; and the lesson plans are assessed by the full time teachers.

All the topics are identified at least 4-6 weeks prior to the camp. In the past these topics have included Bullying, Racism, Islamaphobia, Lessons from Karbala, Love of Allah, Buloogh, Experience of Hajj, Patience as a Virtue, Khoja History, Public Speaking, Salaa as Worship and many many more. All the topics are handpicked with the aim of instilling ilm, practical guidance and in order to meet the overall camp objective of personal development.

Once a day the campers will receive a short Khutba between the Salaa, again choosing topics to improve the akhlaaq of all the campers. Topics may include; Making Friday Special, Salaa, role model etc.
