The Striving for a Brighter Future initiative was designed to enable CoEJ to develop with clarity of goals and direct the future activities of the body according to the needs of our members.

The first step was to hold a retreat on the 25th March 2012. Jamaats completed surveys and leaders from across Europe came together to participate and discuss the future.  The key objectives for this away day were threefold:

Following this, it was decided that it was necessary to undertake further consultation from the wider membership in order to truly meet the needs of our community.

We hope that over the next few months we shall visit Jamaats in order to provide all members with the opportunity to contribute towards the outcomes and help shape the future of CoEJ. We also hope that this shall be an opportunity for CoEJ to learn more about the individual Jamaats and be a medium for the sharing of best practise.

Before we do this, we would be grateful if members could complete our online survey in order to help shape the process and make it more efficient. Insha’Allah together we shall be able to pave the way for a brighter future.
