THE JGS AUTUMN 2007 TOURNAMENT (13TH SEPTEMBER)
The JGS Autumn Tournament will be held on 9th September at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. Set in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, the golf club has the enviable accolade of being the only course set in a Royal Park and dates back to 1895.
At 6513 yards in length and par 71, the course has a parkland front nine and a contrasting links feel to the back nine, particularly with the breeze up. Opening with three relatively straight forward Par 4’s, and finishing with three holes that rank amongst the best in golf, the course is both challenging and beautifully unique. From May through to late autumn the wide fairways are framed by long flowering acid grass. The golfing experience is contrasted by a new and contemporary style club house with a stylish restaurant and beautiful function room. A first class putting green and practice area complete the picture.
We will have 48 places available and early sign up is recommended. Remember we have had almost 70 members who have played in the two JGS competitions this year and we are likely to have a big demand for places, which as usual will be allocated on a first come first served basis, based on receipt of entry fees. This will be the last JGS competition of the year before the Holy Month of Ramadhan, and probably the last JGS competition of 2007.
