The 6th annual MAMT was held by Masoomin Sports Club of Birmingham at Birmingham University & NIA over the August bank holiday period. The tournament was a huge success since there was an increase in the number of teams entered for both Volleyball and Football. The tournament started at 9am and finished at 6pm on both the days as per the scheduled timings. The time management was a huge achievement due to timings allocated for each sport and games and I believe that it is the first time that the presentation ceremony has taken place at 6.30pm.
There were a lot of suggestions for the format of play which I am sure that COEJ will look into for future events. I thank the COEJ Sports Committee to have given the chance to Birmingham to host this tournament. I also thank the Masoomin Sports Club for letting me organise this event and all the co-ordinators, volunteers, team managers and the participants for their support which made this tournament a successful event.
