THE JGS AUTUMN 2007 TOURNAMENT (13TH SEPTEMBER)
The JGS Autumn Tournament will be held on 9th September at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. Set in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, the golf club has the enviable accolade of being the only course set in a Royal Park and dates back to 1895.
At 6513 yards in length and par 71, the course has a parkland front nine and a contrasting links feel to the back nine, particularly with the breeze up. Opening with three relatively straight forward Par 4’s, and finishing with three holes that rank amongst the best in golf, the course is both challenging and beautifully unique. From May through to late autumn the wide fairways are framed by long flowering acid grass. The golfing experience is contrasted by a new and contemporary style club house with a stylish restaurant and beautiful function room. A first class putting green and practice area complete the picture. |

The COEJ Fourth European Annual Ladies Sports Tournament took place in Birmingham on July 29th and 30th 2000. Our host city this year was able to offer us two excellent Sports Centres for the competitions, namely The Sports Centre at King Edwards High School for Girls as well as the National Indoor Arena. The attendance this year was extremely encouraging, with 250 participants from various Jamaats in England, as well as Paris and Switzerland, who had attended this event for the first time ever. The introduction of competitions in Swimming and Squash this year, added a special flavour to the annual tournament and attracted even more younger participants. |
