In response to the invitation from Milton Keynes Senior Citizen Association, the Secretary of Seniors' Network Desk of C.o.E.J., Al Haj Bashirbhai Rattansey along with S.A.B. representative for Europe Al Haj Ramzan Dhanji and some Stanmore Senior Citizen (Al Haj Asgahrali Haji Hassan, Al Haj Mulla Mahmud Merali and Al Haj Sultanbhai Govani) attended the gathering at Milton Keynes on Friday 17th June 2005.

ASl Haj Bashir bhai Rattansey in his address to the gathering dwelt on 'How to make individual Senior Citizen Chapter much stronger, vibrant and financially independent' For that purpose, he advised the Chapter to tap into outside sources such as local authority and public trusts, as the funds are set aside for ethnic bodies and can be and are being accessed various ethnic organisations.

Besides this he also pressed upon the members to make efforts to organise themselves and access the system where the Govt. sponsored bodies are offering FREE Computer courses / IT training for the Senior Citizens. This will open up the venue and widen the horizon and scope of instant communications of members worldwide, exchange of ideas, initiate exchange visits local and abroad and help organise joint outings in summer or Ziyarat trips etc.

Al Haj Ramzanbhai Dhanjiin his address emphasised the importance of advancing the case of unity and brotherhood amongst the Senior Citizens of the U.K.Chapters and also build a strong foundation locally. As member of one family, the Seniors from all chapters should look upon each other's support and moral encouragement. The strength of each chapter is dependent upon the unity and brotherhood of all chapters as one and hence result in a stronger voice.

Al Haj Aliasghar and Mulla Mahmud Meral also had their point of view in the similar vein.

The meeting closed at the time of Jum'a prayers . Approximately 60 people took part in the Prayers which was led by Syed Mohammed Naqvi, resident aalim of Milton Keynes. Thereafter meal was served.
