We are pleased to inform all Member Jamaats that we have received one nomination for the post of the president of The Council of European Jamaats, for the term 2007 – 2009.
Br. Munawer Rattansey has been nominated for this post by Hyderi, Wessex and Leeds Jamaats.
Pursuant to clause 16 of the Constitution, Br. Munawer Rattansey is hereby declared President for the term 2007 – 2009.
We pray to Allah (swt) to grant Br Munawer Rattensey the Tawfeeq to continue serving the community. Amen. |

In compliance with clause 14.3 of the constitution, KSIMC of London has submitted the following resolutions to be tabled at the Annual General Meeting of The Council of European Jamaats to be held on 4 March 2007.

The CoEJ Constitutional Amendments are as follows:
To replace Clause 6.2 (v) with '8 Elected Councillors'.
To amend Clause 6.6 by adding the sentence 'Any member may request a copy of the Minutes of an Executive Committee Meeting within 6 weeks of the said Meeting, such request to be fulfilled by the Secretary General within 2 weeks after receiving the request'.

“Performing our Hajj” is an induction course (of about an hour) designed to introduce the rituals of Hajj. This will be particularly useful for those who are going on Hajj for the first time, but is open to all who are interested to come.
The presentation will be given by Ali H. Al-Hakim, an experienced scholar who has been guiding Hajj caravans for several years.
