Job purpose: To assist the current Office Administrator achieve the centralisation of work carried out by The Council and develop the Secretariat Office.
Positions: One
Location: South London, Streatham, SW16
Reporting to: Office Administrator
Position: Part time (25 hours a week)
Salary: Negotiable
Competencies required:
- Desire, willingness and a commitment to work for the betterment of our community
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Essential skills required:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of using a computer with standard, but essential, software packages
- Have strong interpersonal skills and are able to work on own initiative
- Ability to carry out instructions quickly and accurately to set deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and organise multiple projects
- Take responsibility for tasks and react to changing priorities
- Can work under pressure and pay attention to detail
- Good presentation skills
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Office Administrator
- Opening and closing The Council of European Jamaats Secretariat office
- Deal with incoming emails and take instructions from the Senior Secretariat staff and respond to them accordingly
- Act as a facilitator for the needs of the organisation and their Administrative tasks.
