Brother Shabbar Dhalla Appointed as Assistant to The Secretary General |

The Council of European Jamaats is pleased to announce the appointment of Brother Shabbar Dhalla as Assistant to The Secretary General. Over the last two terms Shabbar has been the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee of The Council of European Jamaats as well as an active volunteer at the World Federation. He was involved in running numerous activities at the Council and was a member of the administration team in the Sweden Boys Camp since 2004. Shabbar was also part of the core management team at the recently concluded World Federation Triennial conference in Dubai.
Shabbar graduated in Law from the University of Reading and has completed his postgraduate Legal Practice course (LPC). He has recently completed further qualifications specialising in Insolvency practice. Having worked for the Department of Trade and Industries, The Insolvency Service, he now practices his trade in the Licensed Insolvency Practitioners firm of Griffins.
The President Munawer Rattansey said, "I am pleased that Brother Shabbar has agreed to come on board and work for CoEJ centrally. He has been a key volunteer for CoEJ in recent years and I look forward to working with him even more closely as he strengthens and develops the Secretariat”.
Brother Shabbar on his appointment said, “I thank Allah (SWT) for having given me the opportunity to continue serving the community. I request for your prayers as we continue to develop the work already carried out and gain the momentum to reach greater heights”.
