Secretariat Crescent Sighting Announcements Hilal Advisory Team Statement: Safar 1431AH
The Astronomical New Moon is on Friday, 15 January 2010.Based on our community sighting criteria, the crescent will not be visible anywhere on this day. On Saturday, 16 January 2010, it will be visible in most of the world.
Based on all probabilities, 1st Safar 1431 AH will be on Sunday, 17 January 2010 for the Muqallideen of Ayatullah Sistani and Marhum Ayatullah Khui.
The Hilal Advisory Team will update the website as soon as possible.
