Hilal Advisory Team – Updated Statement-   Shawwaal 1430

Followers of Syed Khoei (RA) – Eid is tomorrow Sunday 20th September 2009

Following various confirmed sighting reports from South Africa, the Hilal Advisory Team confirms that 1st Shawwal and hence Eid-ul-Fitr for those who remain on the taqleed of Marhum Syed Khui is tomorrow Sunday 20th September 2009. This is based on Marhum Khui’s fatwa on a united horizon.

Hilal Advisory Team will reconvene tomorrow after maghrib and make a final declaration following receipt of sighting reports.
As stated earlier, the HAT strongly encourages moamineen to go out and look for the crescent atleast 30 minutes before sunset. The following data will help moamineen in various jamaats to look for the crescent and report your findings (either way) back to the Hilal Advisory Team.
