Mu'mineen in Mauritius should be the first to be able to sight the crescent.
 
Sighting of the crescent in most of Europe is NOT possible on either Saturday 19 September 2009 OR Sunday 20 September

2009. Hence according to the rulings of Ayatullah Sistani (based on the Theory of Differing Horizons) 1st of Shawwal 1430 is anticipated to be on Tuesday, 22 September 2009 following the completion of 30 days of Ramadhan.
 
Mu'mineen are encouraged to look for the crescent half an hour before sunset on Sunday 20 September 2009 and report any sighting to the Hilal Advisory Team.
 
As for the Muqallideen of Marhum Ayatullah Khui, 1st Shawwal 1430 AH is anticipated on Sunday, 20 September 2009.
 
The Hilal Advisory Team will convene on both Saturday 19th Sept and Sunday 20th Sept and issue a statement accordingly.
