As the days of Muharram come near, a group of dedicated Hyderi volunteers once again start the annual Kerbala Project build. This project depicts the scene in Kerbala on the days preceding, and on the day, of Ashura. This dynamic model shows us the relative positions of the tents of Yazid and Banu Hashim, and shows us the martyrdom spots of the friends and family of Imam Hussain, as we commemorate their sacrifice through the days of Muharram, leading to Ashura Day when the water of the River Furat turns a bloody red at Asr. On Shaam-e-Ghareeba we see the tents of Imam Hussain set alight in order to remember the pain and grief suffered by Imam Sajjad and the ladies of Banu Hashim after the massacre of Kerbala.
