Leeds Madressa children Abseiled 150 feet and raised £400 for Baab- Ul-Ilm.
In July 2006, a group of intrepid children (along with many, a fearless parent) from Leeds Madressa set out for the Yorkshire Dales. Flying in the face of driving rain, they were out to raise money for Leeds Baab-Ul-Ilm. All fears of heights were laid aside as the group of 30 kids, some no older than 8 years, made their way down the magnificent Malham Cove - a mighty 150 foot vertical drop.
The day was a great success raising money for Leeds Baab-Ul-Ilm.
The event was organised by 'The Desk and Chair Foundation' a UK registered charity. TDCF can organise such events for individuals and or groups from different Jamaats and at the same time able them to raise money for worthwhile causes.
