This year's tournament was hosted by Birmingham Jamaat with 170 participants. The weekend proved to be a very successful one and everyone who participated enjoyed the two days of competition. The Badminton tournament saw some promising players in the under 13 and under 15 age groups who enthusiastically played their box matches on Saturday morning followed by the more challenging games in the over 16 categories. |

Salamunalaykum, Khawateen committee consists of a chair, a vice chair and a secretary. The working team has 5 project co-ordinators who provide services mainly to our women and young people within the community. Within our team we also have a supervisor from Muslim Youth Help line and a sub committee board member from HIB. The focus of the committee is to provide services where possible, identify needs and bring awareness to the community in identified area. This has been carried out through lectures, seminars, focus groups, camps, outings, leaflets and discussions. Activities carried out since the last meeting held on 22nd November 2005. |

The Stanmore Bereavement Support Group is functioning well. It is now a year and a half since we started. We have 7 members. Fatima Virani and Zeenat Datoo are joint co-ordinators of the group. We make the initial contact with all bereaved people and keep it open to them to let us visit them. |

In May of this year the young girl’s camp was very kindly hosted by Milton Keynes Jamaat. A group of 34 girls arrived at the imambara equipped with sleeping bags, ready for their three day sleepover. |
