Report on Ladies Sports Tournament 2005 E-mail
This year the Ladies Sports Tournament took place at Werrington Sports Centre in Peterborough. Alhamdulillah the tournament was a great success. All together there were about 250 participants. This was a superb turnout despite the fact that there were weddings at three different places during that weekend.

Khawateen Sub-Committee Report 2005 E-mail

On 10th October 2004, Khawateen committee had organized a meeting inviting all jamaat chairladies and khawateen representatives from individual jamaats at Stanmore Hujjat Imambargah.

Annual Ladies Sports Tournament Report 2004 E-mail

Birmingham Jamaat hosted the 9th Annual Ladies Sports Tournament on 24th and 25th July 2004. Participants from all over the UK enjoyed a weekend of fun and competition taking part in Netball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming and 5 A-side Football. Girls as young as 8 spent 2 days competing, making new friends and enjoying themselves at the King Edwards High School for Girls Sports Centre in Edgbaston and at the Community Hall facilities at the National Indoor Arena. Although competition levels were of a high standard, the atmosphere at both centres was happy and relaxed, with participants giving their best on the courts and sharing their experiences and enjoying each others company off the courts.

Report on the Young girls camp 2004 E-mail

A young girls camp was organised by the khawateen sub-committee between 1st and 4th June 2004 at Portsmouth Jamaat.

The camp was targeted between the ages of 8 and 12 years.
The aim of the camp was:

  • to welcome the girls into their buloogh age
  • to teach them their roles and responsibilities 
  • to give them importance of directly connecting with Allah. 
  • Meeting girls from various jammats and form lasting relationships
  • Provide safe and Islamic environment where the girls can have fun
