Khums is an important pillar of the Islamic economic system and an essential obligation for a Muslim. It is the most common tax in the Shi’ah law of Islam since it applies to the savings and the profits on an annual basis. It was introduced by the grandfather of the Holy Prophet, Abdul Muttalib upon a command given to him by Allah and has been emphasised repeatedly by the Holy Prophet and all the Imams.

Women's Health Questionnaire Survey Results

Khawateen sub committee have been working closely with the HIB board in this area. We have been provided workshops on Breast Cancer awareness during the screening programme delivered to Essex, Wessex, Milton Keynes, Hyderi, Peterborough and Stanmore jamaats.

Weaning Guide for Parents

As a child gets older, milk alone cannot provide all the nutrients they need for both growth and development and hence it is recommended to gradually introduce other foods into their diet.
