Khawateen Committee Report - March 2004 |

In preparation for the Women’s World Federation conference, the Women’s Desk of the WF assigned Khawateen the task of collecting information on marriage related matters from all member Jamaats of the CoEJ. The related information was collected via a questionnaire sent to the Chairladies of each Jamaat. The information collected was then collated and presented by the Women’s Desk at the conference. A Khawateen Representative attended the conference, and presented a talk on the history and activities of the Khawateen. The subject of Bereavement was dealt with separately and a good insight of its workings was also presented. There was an overwhelming response from the ladies present there, who were much impressed with the activities. The Dubai and Mombasa Jamaats expressed their interest in starting a Khawateen group in their respective part of the World. With salaams and duas. Sister Saeeda Jiwa
