 The Health Improvement Board of The Council of European Jamaats has organized a talk on Dementia during the main programme on Saturday 4th September 2010, in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Society.

 CoEJ Secretary General, Br Mohamed Dawood on a recent visit to Tanzania, visited the Bilal Muslim Mission Mwanza Branch on the invitation of Alhajj Br. Sibtain Meghjee, the President of Mwanza Jamaat.
On the visit, Br Mohamed Dawood said:

 As the days and nights of the Holy Month of Ramadhan slip by, we are made all the more aware of the plight faced by our brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
In order to try and alleviate their anguish, The Council of European Jamaats and The World Federation of KSIMC, together with the support and assistance of Ahlulbayt TV held a live telethon on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd August in order to raise funds for those affected by the disaster.
The telethon was broadcast live on both days between 1.30 pm and 3.10 pm.

 The Careers Day 2010 aims to help you in every stage in the transition from school to a career. Similar events have been held in 2007 (Birmingham) and 2008 (London) which were thoroughly successful.
With sessions for Freshers, students looking to secure Graduate employment as well as general Careers Advice; we aim to offer an informative and highly beneficial event.

Husaini Islamic Centre (Peterborough)

 Youngsters from the Husaini Islamic Centre organized a bucket collection in the city centre on Sunday 22nd August 2010.
The Husaini youth group invited young people across the city to join them in this event.
During the day the Muslim youths were fasting and took on the challenge of raising money for the people who have been affected by the floods in Pakistan.

 On Sunday 25th of June, the Husaini Islamic Centre, Burton Street, Peterborough, opened to the public for the 4th consecutive annual Mosque open day.
The aim of the day was to build bridges between communities in Peterborough and through the engagement help remove any misconceptions that individuals may have.

In its 9th iteration, the UCAS Workshop gives you a helping hand in completing your UCAS application from students who have successfully navigated through it and are currently studying at university. Representatives from many different universities and subjects will be on hand to help you write your personal statement, answer any questions on interview technique and offer advice on their respective universities and degrees!
We aim to provide a detailed look at hand picked personal statements, and give you the opportunity to write your own, complete, draft of a personal statement.
