Nawha recordings by three of our vibrant Khoja Youths, namely Husein Virji of Stanmore and Shabbir & Abbas Tejani of Peterborough for Muharram 1429 AH will soon be available on CDs.
Husein, Shabbir and Abbas are all born in the UK and have been reciting nawhas, marthiyas, munaajaats and qasidas in Urdu since the age of five. They have been invited all over the UK, as well as Europe, North America and Africa, to recite. These young men, now in their early twenties, are seasoned nawha khwaans, and their reciting ability is on par with most of the renowned Pakistani reciters, who many Jamaats invite during Muharram/Safar for marthiyas and nawha recitation. These young men are students at university but their love for the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) has kept the fire of Azadari burning in their hearts as they recite the eulogies of the King of Martyrs, Hussain ibn Ali (a.s.). |
