Khums is an important pillar of the Islamic economic system and an essential obligation for a Muslim. It is the most common tax in the Shi’ah law of Islam since it applies to the savings and the profits on an annual basis. It was introduced by the grandfather of the Holy Prophet, Abdul Muttalib upon a command given to him by Allah and has been emphasised repeatedly by the Holy Prophet and all the Imams.

We have organised a Health Screening Day. A medical MOT of Health Services available to you and your FAMILY for FREE (normally worth over £200.00).

	Dates:	Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th June 2007
	Times:	Registration from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
	Venue:	Clifton Mosque, Islamic Centre, Birmingham
		• Doctors – consultation and overall health assessment • Dentists – checking gums/teeth • Opticians – general eye check-up • Pharmacists – general medicine management advice • Dietician – Genaral Dietary Advice

• Nurses/Health care assistants will be there to carry out:
                                - Thalassemia tests
                                - Blood sugar tests for diabetes(optional at £2)
                                - Cholesterol test (optional at £5)
                                - Cardiac assessments (40 yrs plus only)
                                - Stress management consultations (16 yrs plus only)
                                - Talks on High Blood Pressue
                                - Talk on Healthy Life Style
                                - Talk on Breast Cancer (only for Ladies)

ALL INFORMATION WILL BE TREATED IN THE STRICTEST OF CONFIDENCE.
