About 80 people were seen but only 46 pints of blood were collected. Though there were more people to be seen but because of early closing of session they were unable to be seen and others were rejected because they had travelled to malaria infested area in last few years.

The establishment of this helpline was undertaken by youths from our community. So far a number of youths in our community with mental health and drug problems, social and other problems have sought their help and support. At HIB we were aware that we needed to deal with the special health issues affecting the youths of our community. After due consideration it was decided that because of the types of problems affecting the youths rather than HIB dealing with it directly, we work with and support an independent organisation. Muslim Youth Helpline has filled this vacuum for us.
- Drug Seminar A drug awareness seminar was organised in coordination with the Welfare sub committee of CoEJ, at Hujjat Imambarah, Stanmore on June 15th. 2003, We have recorded this seminar on video/audio and DVD to add in to our resources. Our thanks to Br. Mahmood Rehemtulla for providing live coverage of this programme on Hujjat web site www.hujjat.org/coejseminar.html. Following the above seminar it was decided that the follow up of this seminar should be carried out by HIB as SDP(Substance Dependency Programme) and its objectives are:
To develop substance misuse prevention strategy. To raise awareness within our community of this problem. To support those affected by this problem. To build capacity in the community to deal with this problem. To build partnerships within the community and with external agencies Action plan: Identify ways of finding drug pushers and strategies to deal with them. Videos on drug awareness to be used in our madresahs to discuss issues with children Work with drug agencies on prevention Create network of support workers Further lectures and seminars Create database of support agencies and help lines in various areas where our Jamaats are located.
