The Council Of European Jamaats

Khums is an important pillar of the Islamic economic system and an essential obligation for a Muslim. It is the most common tax in the Shi’ah law of Islam since it applies to the savings and the profits on an annual basis. It was introduced by the grandfather of the Holy Prophet, Abdul Muttalib upon a command given to him by Allah and has been emphasised repeatedly by the Holy Prophet and all the Imams.

Watford Screening

HEALTH IMPROVEMENT BOARD Report on the Screening Programme held at Watford Jamaat on 10th September 2006 The Screening Programme held at Al-Zahra Centre Watford attracted 180 people. There were 70 males and 110 females.

Health screening was conducted by the Health Improvement Board of the Council of European jamaats in conjunction with the Health and Medical Committee of The Muslim Council of Britain at Hujjat, Stanmore on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April 2006.
