Report of Madaaris Heads Meeting Held 18 November 2007 |

On 18th November the second meeting of the Heads of Madaaris in Europe was held by the Council of European Jamaats and hosted by the Zainabiya Madrasah, Milton Keynes . As with the first meeting and with all subsequent meetings the first part was a tour of the Milton Keynes Madrasah. The tour was conducted by the principle Hasnain Kara and the heads had the opportunity to see the classes in action.
The main meeting was conducted by Dr Sibtain Panjwani. As past chairman of the Education Board and Secretary General of the World Federation, Dr Sibtain delivered an interesting presentation focussing on past achievements of the community in the field of Madrasah and how we can develop the work that has already been carried out. The presentation ended with a lively discussion on developing broad objectives and a framework around which all European Madaaris can work towards.
It was decided that more time is needed to develop the objectives and frameworks further, and thus these would be finalised in the next meeting. Ummulbaninbai Merali suggested that the next meeting be hosted by Hujjat Workshop, Stanmore.
