The Astronomical New Moon is on Tuesday 3 June 2008 at 8.24pm. The first sighting of the crescent should insha'allah occur on Wednesday 4 June 2008 in Central Asia.
Should the crescent be sighted as expected, 1st Jamaada al Thani is expected to be on Thursday 5 June 2008 for the Muqallideen of Ayatullah Seestani and Marhum Ayatullah Khui. The Hilal Advisory Team will ascertain the sighting as soon as possible.
